Lots of good quality work done  before, on the builder's demise, it was left in poor storage. It's currently  seized - although with gunmetal cylinders it's unlikely to be a major job to  free off - and there is a good deal of muck and surface rust on the brightwork -  it needs to come apart completely at this point.
