Since these pictures were taken, the engines has  been carefully bead-blasted back to clean metal ready for priming.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eWork to date comprises complete front end - smokebox with door and dart  assembly, perch bracket, front axle, front wheels and chimney. Finished  crankshaft fitted with valve and pump eccentric straps and sheaves. Boiler feed  pump with plunger. Cylinder block bored with ends and valve chest faced. Piston  and rod. Machined flywheel. Steering gear complete. Hornplates with bearings and  crankshaft lubricators. All gears cut and shafts machined, including complete  differential assembly, winch and brake drum. Complete gear selector mechanism.  Rear axle with one complete wheel, the other in kit form comprising rim, hub and  cap casting, laser-cut spokes and building jig.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eThere is also one flanged tender side in stainless steel and sufficient new  sheet to complete the tender (should you be brave enough to attempt to make it  in stainless!). The boiler shell and (unfitted) firebox are of indifferent  quality and should be regarded as useful to separate the wheels while you make a  new boiler. A new professionally-built boiler in copper with test certificate  would cost £850.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eA full set of drawings are included.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eThe completed engine will be 44 inches long, 29 inches to the top of the  chimney and weigh around 300 pounds.
