{"product_id":"3-inch-scale-burrell-agricultural-engine-stock-code-8769","title":"3 inch scale Burrell agricultural engine","description":"We sold this 3 inch scale Burrell to a local engineer back in 2012 - an interesting man of eclectic tastes, his interests range from model aircraft and machine tools to locomotives and vintage tractors.\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Unused for some years, it's recently come back as part of a complicated engine exchange involving 3 and 4 inch Burrells, two steam wagons, and a 1925 Ruston \u0026amp; Hornsby 7hp engine (destined for our engine shed where it will be used to run line-shafting for the vintage Pittler lathe and Selig Sonnenthal drilling machine).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The Burrell is a particularly well-built example - fit and finish of motionwork is very good, eccentric straps and main bearing caps all locknutted and pinned.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Road wheels have rubber tyres on steel bands fitted over strakes.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Boiler is copper, silver soldered, commercially built by Bishop-Richardson.
