This one was built in 2002 as one of a pair - engineering is good and it goes  well. The  paint is pretty miserable on the hornplates and spectacle where millscale wasn't  removed from the steel plate before painting and will need some attention over next  winter.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSteel boiler by Franklin \u0026amp; Bell with expanded tubes, 120psi working pressure. Feed by mechanical  pump and injector. Twin Ramsbottom safety valves. Single cylinder, slide valve  actuated by Stephenson's reversing gear with pole reverser. Mechanical  lubricator.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFour shaft transmission with two road speeds, winch behind nearside rear  wheel with fairleads mounted on tender. Steam water lifter on tender. The rear  wheels have been fitted with removeable rubber tyres - they are bonded to steel  bands, which are bolted up to the wheels and can be removed quickly if the  ground warrants running on strakes.
