The builder was a long-time member of the Ffestiniog Railway Society, basing his design on drawings of the full-size locomotive, which are included.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The chassis is powered by a pair of 12 volt batteries driving a single motor with Parkside controller. The motionwork - flycranks, rods and jackshaft - is largely decorative, the real job of transmission being done by a substantial chain drive between the frames which is practical and easy to maintain.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The locomotive runs well in either direction, the handset controlling direction, speed and the horn.
