A highly capable engineer and member of his local model engineering society for thirty-five years, arthritis has increasingly made handling the Manor difficult to handle given its size and weight.\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The commercially built boiler has extensive club history going back to 2002 when supplied new, it's had recent hydraulic and steam tests here with new certification issued.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Fit and finish of machined parts is very good, platework is neatly formed and fitted, the paintwork - after more than twenty seasons running - remains in excellent condition, a tribute to the builder's meticulous maintenance regime.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    On test the engine proved free-steaming and ran exceptionally well, notching up in either direction.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The builder has taken trouble over small details that make the engine easier to operate and maintain, including a valve chest pressure gauge, highly effective double-acting hand pump and easily accessible tender draincock (and you'd be surprised how many tenders we have to turn upside down to empty!)\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    We really like this one - it's a handsome, thoroughly well-sorted locomotive in fine condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Supplied with12 months warranty and a starter kit including coal, oil and a set of firing irons.
