Mechanically it remains in as-new condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Offered complete and air-running, the locomotive will undoubtedly require work to commission for steaming - we've never had a new engine that didn't (and that includes the ones we build ourselves!)\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    \u003ci\u003eHappily, after many years being regarded as \"unsaveable\" with its rear driving wheels cut through at Barry scrapyard, an ambitious restoration project saw the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/didcotrailwaycentre.org.uk\/article.php\/75\/6023-king-edward-ii\" target=\"_blank\"\u003efull-sized \"King Edward II\"\u003c\/a\u003e returned to running order, which involved casting and machining new wheels.
