We'd put it at about 80% complete - work remaining includes cladding, pipework, fittings and painting.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The chassis turns over, fairly stiffly although without tight spots. Stored for some years, it doesn't currently run on air - it will need pistons and valves checking and setting.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Axles run in split bronze bearings, with pressure lubrication from a lubricator mounted between the frames.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Complete with a finely made CE-marked boiler by Western Steam.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    For such an attractive design, it's a mystery to us as to why so few models of these exist. In the last twenty years we've had one other Patriot, that one in 3 1\/2 inch gauge, \u003ca href=\"\/products\/3-12-inch-gauge-lms-patriot-4-6-0-stock-code-11314\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ea beautifully made, exhibition-winning engine.\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Station Road Steam","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54019242688853,"sku":"12066","price":5750.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1023\/0094\/2677\/files\/12066-1.webp?v=1779903278","url":"https:\/\/stationroadsteam.com\/products\/5-inch-gauge-lms-patriot-no-5543-stock-code-12066","provider":"Station Road Steam","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
