It's come to us as part of a collection from the builder of the \u003ca href=\"\/products\/5-inch-gauge-br-9f-2-10-0-evening-star-stock-code-9504\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eexcellent 9F\u003c\/a\u003e we sold recently, which included a fine \u003ca href=\"\/products\/7-14-inch-gauge-lswr-adams-t6-4-4-0-stock-code-6930\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e7 1\/4 inch gauge LSWR 4-4-0\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003ca href=\"\/products\/2-inch-scale-fowler-princess-showmans-engine-stock-code-8888\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e2 inch scale Fowler Showmans Road Locomotive\u003c\/a\u003e and \u003ca href=\"\/products\/3-inch-scale-atkinson-steam-wagon-stock-code-9008\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e3 inch scale Atkinson steam wagon.\u003c\/a\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Built in prototypical three cylinder form, with Gresley-Holcroft conjugated valve gear, the engine hasn't been used in recent times, the last club boiler test dating from 2019.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The boiler has had new hydraulic and steam tests in recent weeks, with certification issued for same. The engine runs, although has a variety of jobs which will require doing over next winter, including:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cul\u003e  \u003cli\u003e Rebuild\/replace hand pump - originally double acting, it has been converted to single acting, in the course of which the casting has been cracked\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003e Slight weep on regulator boss and front LH piston valve cover\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003e Locomotive hand brake ineffective\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003e Whistle valve seized shut\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003e Automatic drain cocks unreliable (in our experience endemic in the design)\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003cli\u003e Injector clack valves leak slightly, although not enough to prevent injectors working\u003c\/li\u003e  \u003c\/ul\u003e    Exhaust is somewhat asthmatic - either piston rings or valves - it runs better forwards than backwards, \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Fbp5CIgEEnA\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ethere's some video of it running on the rolling road here.\u003c\/a\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Complete with custom built transport\/storage crate for the locomotive and steel carrying frame for the tender.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Station Road Steam","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54010066731349,"sku":"9503","price":9500.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1023\/0094\/2677\/files\/9503-1.webp?v=1779900265","url":"https:\/\/stationroadsteam.com\/products\/5-inch-gauge-lner-v2-the-green-howard-stock-code-9503","provider":"Station Road Steam","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
