The last one I had was built by an exhibition winning engineer who had several super engines to his credit - there's some pictures of it in the archive. This one is the work of a clockmaker, beautifully built around a professionally-made boiler.

Silver soldered copper boiler, working pressure 90psi, feed by twin injectors and hand pump. Twin safety valves under rear dome. Gunmetal cylinders, slide valves actuated by Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser in cab. Twin sight feed lubricators. The cab and tender framing are finely made in oak.

The engine is better than 90% complete, requiring minor work to fix the cab, fix a hand pump in the tender and painting - there is little or no further expenditure required bar the paint. There is a complete set of drawings and some build notes.

Length
Locomotive 27 inches
Tender 15 inches

Driving wheels 3 1/2 inch diameter
