In use at the club over the summer, it's recently come back to us in part-exchange for a B1.\u003cp\u003e    The previous owner has kept up the tradition of assiduous maintenance, the locomotive remains in good condition throughout.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003c\/font\u003e    A 5 inch gauge freelance 0-6-0T to Martin Evans' popular \"Simplex\" design, an older engine that has been maintained in good condition, appearing to have had light use given the condition of valve gear and motionwork.\u003cp\u003e    The boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued. The safety valves were unreliable in operation and have been replaced, along with the injector and its steam valve.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    There are some well thought out features, including remote oilers for the axleboxes which remove the need to fiddle about trying to squirt oil between the wheel spokes.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    On test the engine proved free steaming and ran well, keeping itself in steam and water without need of the blower on the rolling road.
