There is a handpump fitted in one tank,  however the injector is a recent addition and has taken over the hand pump  clack.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eOutside cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's  valve gear with pole reverser in cab (and I've no idea why Simplexes are ever  fitted with anything else, the standard screw reverser is a complete pain).  Mechanical lubricator.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eThe driving truck runs on a pair of bogies, front one braked.
