It's come back to us last week as the owner downsizes his collection to focus on his 7 1\/4 inch gauge \"Lilla\".\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    \u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(255, 0, 0);\"\u003ePhotographs and words below from 2021, it's in much the same condition now with a fresh steam certificate issued this week.\u003c\/span\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    A particularly well built 5 inch gauge 2-6-4T, \"inspired by\" rather than a scale model of an LMS Stanier tank engine with robustly proportioned valve gear and generous bearing surfaces reminiscent of pre-war Greenly designs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    It's come to us as part of a larger collection of locomotives (which included the \u003ca href=\"\/products\/5-inch-gauge-royal-scot-sherwood-forester-stock-code-9362\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eRoyal Scot \"Sherwood Forester\"\u003c\/a\u003e) as its owner, now into his eighth decade, downsizes to more manageable sized models.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    A large, powerful engine it runs very well, steaming freely and notching up in either direction - \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=A1FjNgFc-3c\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ethere's a clip of it on the rolling road outside the workshop here.\u003c\/a\u003e Water feeds all work reliably, the water gauge is easy to read (although the shut off cocks are dummies).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Chassis is in excellent condition, with little discernible wear in the motion work and valve gear.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Paintwork is mainly good, although with some patches flaked off on the barrel and firebox, as shown in the pictures.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    There are lots of  nicely thought out details making maintenance easier, like remote axle box oilers mounted on the side tanks and a removeable panel giving access to lubricate the combination lever\/radius rod\/valve spindle joints - often inaccessible (and equally often worn) when hidden under fixed running boards.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Complete with club boiler test history.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Station Road Steam","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54019148251477,"sku":"9361","price":6700.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1023\/0094\/2677\/files\/9361-1.webp?v=1779902278","url":"https:\/\/stationroadsteam.com\/products\/5-inch-gauge-stanier-2-6-4-stock-code-9361","provider":"Station Road Steam","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
