An older engine with some age-related wear to the paintwork, but in good running order with free-steaming boiler and a chassis which runs exceptionally well, notching up close to mid gear in either direction.\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    We've tested the boiler off the frames with cladding removed, followed by steam test after reassembly, with new certification issued.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The original safety valves which didn't inspire confidence have been replaced, new gauge glasses have been fitted.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The axle pump works beautifully and is well-matched to the requirements of the boiler, it can be left on without causing a drastic drop in pressure.
