Newly-outshopped, the engine featured on the front cover of the \"7 1\/4 inch gauge news\" at that time.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    In later years it ran at Hemsby until the original boiler finally required replacement.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    After passing through a number of hands, it ended up with a long time customer of ours, a luminary of the 7 1\/4 inch gauge world, who also currently owns \"Wendy\", the two engines ending up together again. Recently - and like many of us men of a certain age - he has come to realise that the total hours required to restore all projects in his workshop may soon exceed any reasonably expected lifespan and so, somewhat reluctantly, decided to move the Greenly on.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Work to restore the locomotive is largely a repaint and reassembly job - we believe that virtually all parts are present to put it back together, along with a new commercially built CE-marked steel boiler by Gloucester Steam \u0026amp; Traction.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The chassis runs on air beautifully, down to a slow tickover in either direction - a testament to high quality workmanship combined with an excellent design by one of the great pioneers of miniature steam.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    \u003cbr\u003e    \u003ciframe width=\"353\" height=\"198\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6s3w_47qYrI?si=SdsstUK4rl8dEk-P\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen\u003e\u003c\/iframe\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    A worthwhile project which will produce a powerful, good-looking engine, it's all up weight of around a quarter of a ton providing useful adhesive weight.
