The engine was re-boilered in 1994, Kingswood Boilers supplying the replacement.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    It has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued, the boiler remains in good condition. The injector works faultlessly, the blower is well-matched to the boiler - quiet in operation, whilst drawing the fire efficiently from 40psi.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Machining is crisply done throughout, standard of fit and finish very good. The platework has been well formed and neatly fitted.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    On test the engine proved a delight to drive - ample reserves of power, the workshop notes stating \u003ci\u003e\"runs well in both directions, has the feel of something that can do some work\".\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Fitted for vacuum train brakes, with steam brake for the locomotive. Whilst the vacuum ejector works efficiently, we wouldn't want to rely on the steam brakes in an emergency...\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    A nicely-made, well-sorted locomotive; in this gauge a Black 5 has a lot of presence, at eight feet long and weighing in at a little under a third of a ton.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Complete with the set of drawings it was built from, copies of \"Model Engineer\" magazine and contemporary newspaper cuttings detailing some of the engine's history.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Supplied with12 months warranty and a starter kit including coal, oil and a set of firing irons.
