Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear  with pole reverser in the cab. \u003co:p\u003e  \u003c\/o:p\u003e  \u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eAn older engine, the paintwork, although fairly  presentable, is getting tired.
