Hasn't run in the  last year, it will need at least the battery charging, old petrol draining out  and the plug cleaning before use.\u003c\/font\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e    \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eA substantially built 7 1\/4 inch gauge petrol engined shunter,  in use until 2004 as a club locomotive for public running days until increasing  passenger numbers led to a much larger replacement being built.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eThe locomotive is based on 1\/2 in plate steel frames, axles run  in roller takeup bearings. The single cylinder Honda engine has had an electric  start grafted on and drives through a Fenner coupling with a band brake to the  flywheel. Transmission is fixed with centrifugal clutch. Both locomotive and  tender are vacuum braked, run from the engine manifold with a resevoir in the  tender and driver's brake lever and vacuum gauge in the cab. Bodywork is all in  steel - this, coupled with the substantial frames, give an all up weight of  around three hundredweight.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eThe ride-on tender is six wheeled, with flanges removed from the  centre wheels.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eThe engine requires work - something between a restoration and  an overhaul. The battery is feeble and needs replacing - the smallest Ford  Fiesta type item from Halfords would do the job. The recoil start needs a new rope, the headlamp requires some remedial  work with epoxy and the band brake needs lining.
