Pictures opposite and words below are from that time.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003c\/font\u003e\u003cp\u003e    A 7 1\/4 inch gauge \"Royal Scot\", built to the two cylinder Greenly\/Bassett Lowke design based on Fowler's original \"unrebuilt\" locomotive.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    A well-built engine, it was bought by the last owner in 2005 to run on his garden railway.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Shortly after purchase the boiler failed, so a new one was commissioned from Swindon Boilers and fitted. The locomotive had occasional use thereafter until the owner's work took him abroad, after which it was stored in an outhouse for several years until we collected it in early 2019.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Paintwork is faded in a rather elegant way - the livery looks vintage rather than worn out!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    In steam it runs asthmatically - it will likely require rings for pistons and\/or valve bobbins - however the chassis is in good mechanical order, the boiler remains in excellent condition.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Station Road Steam","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54019936846165,"sku":"8484","price":13950.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1023\/0094\/2677\/files\/8484-1.webp?v=1779908637","url":"https:\/\/stationroadsteam.com\/products\/7-14-inch-gauge-royal-scot-stock-code-8484","provider":"Station Road Steam","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
