Originally exclusively standard gauge motive power, like many of us of a certain age, he's found a move to narrow gauge means a good deal less bending down!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    Whilst he's kept a couple of main line engines, \u003ca href=\"\/products\/7-14-inch-gauge-waldenburg-0-6-0t-stock-code-8550\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eour Waldenburg\u003c\/a\u003e went North last week to join \u003ca href=\"\/products\/7-14-inch-gauge-orenstein--koppel-0-6-0-stock-code-6535\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ea fine Koppel\u003c\/a\u003e we sold back in 2015, three standard gauge locomotives coming back in the van, including the Class 3.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    There were only 20 Class 3s built - none survived into preservation, although work is afoot to recreate a 3MT tank. Designed by Riddles, with running gear based on the Ivatt Class 4. Although he experimented with outside Stephenson's gear on the Class 5, the Class 3 represented here thus fitted is the builder's flight of fancy - although both plausible and technically interesting.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e    The engine runs well, paintwork is in presentable condition.
