It was built as a replica of the whistles fitted to the LNER A4s,  themselves copied from Crosby originals and manufactured in Doncaster Works  (which caused a frisson of excitement with Crosby's patent lawyers at the time).\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eBeautifully made, it takes a super polish with not a huge amount  of effort.
