It's somewhat grubby with  light surface rust, some of which has been scoured off with emery, but it's  really ready for a sympathetic restoration. Quality is good, the engine features  a fish-bellied connecting rod, gibbed and cottered big end, split main bearings  and a beautifully made wooden base, relieved for the flywheel and with  dovetailed corners.
