Designed as a beginner's  engine, it was serialised in Model Engineer starting in 1934 - the magazine  offered a prize for the best made engine by a beginner running at the Exhibition  of Autumn 1935, with nine entries turning up on the day.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp align=\"left\"\u003eIn addition to the chassis, there are a pair of tender frame  plates and buffer beams, castings to complete the locomotive and tender and a  kit of boiler parts including tube, flanged plates (complete with flanging  formers, should the fancy take you to make another one) and a quantity of copper  sheet.
