Since its last visit here, the engine has had an unfortunate experience on a collapsing bookshelf - damage is mainly light and cosmetic, confined to the copper steam receivers on either side and a throttle valve knocked off. The main parts remain in good order, the engine still turns over exactly as before, this would be a light restoration rather than a rebuild.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003e   Words below are from 2003, pictures were taken this afternoon.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003e  Well made triple expansion marine engine, typical of nineteenth century practice with condensor and air pump, slide valves with Stephenson's reversing gear. Drain cocks to all cylinders, wheel regulator valve, all pipe fittings flanged and bolted.\u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003e  Built to the O.B.Bolton design, revised and described in \"Model Engineer\" by John Bertinat. The same builder was responsible for an excellent \u003ca href=\"\/products\/archive\/2057.htm\"\u003eAllchin\u003c\/a\u003e, the \u003ca href=\"\/products\/archive\/2059.htm\"\u003eLiverpool and Manchester \"Lion\"\u003c\/a\u003e we have in stock and a rather nice Bentley rotary aero engine in 1\/6th scale.
