The steel boiler is in excellent condition, tested in January of this year and has a boiler certificate valid until January 2003. It is fed by twin injectors, drawing water either from the saddle tank or tender, selected by means of a diverter valve.
Cylinders are fitted with inside slide valves, actuated by Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser. Cylinder lubrication is by twin sight feed lubricators mounted in the cab.
The engine is fitted with a good steam brake and mechanical screw down brake. The ride-in tender has a comfortable seat and plenty of room for your feet! This is a powerful engine, capable of negotiating extremely tight radius curves making it suitable both for intensive club running or use on the most compact of garden layouts.
