A Corliss valve engine, built to the Arnold Throp design using drawings and castings supplied by Southworth Engines.
Recently completed by an experience engineer, the engine has been test run but remains in as-new condition. Machining is to a high standard throughout, fit and finish of all parts particularly good.
The engine turns over very smoothly and runs well on air. The builder has fitted trip gear, although found it fiddly to set up - it's currently adjusted so that the engine runs ungoverned.
