A large model tug, built by a man more usually occupied
building large American-prototype locomotives – this must come as some welcome
relief, a project he could actually pick up and carry about.
Hull is in wood, planked construction on ribs. The steam
plant comprises a gas-fired centre flue boiler, coupled to a twin cylinder
piston valve engine which looks to be of commercial manufacture, although I
don’t recognise it.
A 27MHz receiver is installed with servos for rudder and
regulator.
The boat has been unused for some years, however it looks
to be in good order, the engine turns over freely.
