Constructed using some Stuart components - the "S" on the valve chest cover a bit of a giveaway, we suspect the cylinder may be from the same supplier - the rest of the pump built to a design and from castings we haven't seen before, with Scotch crank and large solid flywheel.
Obviously inspired by the type of pump built for vertical mounting on a wall - typically in a ship - it would equally well do service on the side of a large locomotive or traction engine.
Turns over freely and runs very well on air down to low speed.
