A beautifully made steam plant comprising Stuart hammer, gas-fired copper boiler and water tank with hand pump, all mounted in a purpose-built wooden case.
Stuart hammers are rather rare beasts at the best of times, this is the nicest one I've ever had - well made and fitted, with draincocks and cylinder lubricator. The boiler is a copper multitube affair, gas-fired with a regulator - a great advantage over spirit-firing for something with modest steam requirements like a hammer, where otherwise the boiler sits blowing off on the safety valve all the time.
