Designed by Collet, the little GWR 14xx class were widely spread across the branch line network, often coupled to an "Autocoach" allowing the driver to drive from the front whilst the fireman stayed at the back, thus avoiding running round on rural "there & back" services.
5 gauge model, assembled from a kit. The silver-soldered copper boiler has a working pressure of 80psi, fed by axle pump, injector and auxiliary hand pump in the side tank. Inside cylinders with Stephenson's valve gear operated by screw reverser in the cab.
As is normal with Winson kits, whilst all the bits are there and the engine rolls, expect some work to get it going (!). Having said that, of all their creations, the 14xx seems to be one of the more successful - I've seen several out and running, very pretty they are too. There is a complete set of original assembly instructions included.
