2 1/2 inch gauge Lynton & Barnstaple 2-6-2T "Lew"

A finely built 2 1/2 inch gauge static model of the Lynton & Barnstaple 2-6-2T "Lew", the original built by Manning Wardle in 1925 and famously lost, allegedly somewhere in South America, after the railway was closed in 1935.

The work of a highly capable engineer, with interests ranging from railways through full-size road steam to vintage cars, the engine is largely complete bar cylinders and motionwork - it could be completed with modest machinery (or, dare one suggest in this day and age, 3D printing).

A well-detailed model which captures the look of the original locomotive, it will make a fine display piece when finished.
