2 inch scale Clayton steam wagon

A Clayton lorry which came in recently from the builder's son - he remembers his father steaming it up in years gone by and driving around the garden. Unused for many years, underneath the muck is a well-made engine, with some nice extras including the half-speed reduction gear in the transmission which makes the engine considerably more usable.

Boiler has had a twice pressure hydraulic test - it's sound - and comes with a new certificate to that effect. The engine turns freely, the whole thing would make a straightforward restoration, requiring mainly cleaning and painting.

Complete with articulated trailer with well thought out seat, footboards and detachable driver's footpegs.
