3 1/2 inch gauge Petrolea 2-4-0

A 3 1/2 inch gauge Great Eastern Railway T19 2-4-0 to LBSC's "Petrolea" design, the original locomotive used as a testbed to continue Holden's experiments with oil-burning, first seen on a T18 0-6-0 shunter, in the latter part of the nineteenth century.

An older engine, the boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test although, in the absence of any previous history, will need to be lifted from the frames for a repeat test with cladding off before certification could be issued.

The chassis runs - slightly asthmatically - on air in both directions.
