3 inch scale Burrell 6nhp agricultural engine

An older example of a 3 inch scale Burrell agricultural engine, built to the Plastow design. It's recently been fitted with a new boiler, the rest of the engine needs some work to bring up to scratch - gear selectors are worn, final drive gear guard is missing.

Commercially built TIG-welded copper boiler, 100psi working pressure, feed by injector and mechanical pump. Twin spring type safety valves. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear, pole reverser, Mechanical lubricator and whistle mounted on cylinder block.

Three shaft, two speed transmission with differential and winch fitted behind nearside rear wheel, fairleads on tender. The road wheels are fitted with rubber tyres over strakes.
