4 inch scale Foster agricultural engine

A 4 inch scale Foster agricultural engine, a well-built engine in good condition with bright paintwork - it presents very well.

The boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued; the engine has been serviced in our workshop, including replacement of an erratically-reading pressure gauge and leaky blower valve.

The regulator passed steam when closed - a common problem, but hazardous in engines of this size - and has been replaced with our standard carbon PTFE type which provides smooth, leak-free operation.

In runs well in either direction, the valve gear and motionwork are in good condition.

Offered complete with firing irons, a starter kit of coal and water, and 12 months warranty. We would be more than happy to give half a day's instruction on the steaming, running and disposal of the locomotive to a new owner.
