5 inch gauge "Achilles" 0-6-0T

A 5 inch gauge 0-6-0T to Dick Simmonds' "Achilles" design, a handsome, well-built engine in good condition throughout.

We've fitted new, stiffer, axlebox springs and serviced the lubricator, following which the engine steamed freely and ran beautifully on test.

An ideal beginner's engine for this gauge - the outside valve gear simplifies maintenance, it has sufficient power and adhesive weight to pull a useful load at the club, even with less than expert firing.

Supplied with 12 months warranty, set of firing irons and a starter kit of coal and oil.
