5 inch gauge BR Standard Class 7 "Britannia"

A 5 inch gauge BR Standard Class 7 No.70000 "Britannia", a finely built which has come to us as part of a small collection of good locomotives and traction engines, including the 5 inch gauge LNER A3 "Hyperion", a 7 1/4 inch narrow gauge Kerr, Stuart "Wren" and 2 inch scale Fowler road locomotive "Victorious".

I won't dilate at length on this one, the pictures opposite tell the story. Suffice to say the locomotive has been fastidiously maintained by its previous owner - a professional model ship builder and restorer - and remains in excellent condition throughout. Free-steaming, it runs just as you'd expect - absolutely beautifully!

Supplied with firing irons, a starter kit of coal and steam oil and 12 months warranty. If required, we would be pleased to include a half day's training in the firing, driving and maintenance of the engine.
