5 inch gauge "Jinty" 0-6-0T

A 5 inch gauge LMS 3F "Jinty" 0-6-0T, supplied new by Silver Crest Models in 2022; after various modifications it has been in club use since.

Work done by the owner included:

• Fitting pair of safety valves from Polly Engineering to replace the originals which accumulated
• Replaced clack valves
• Fitted new large-bore balance pipe to water tanks
• Fitted new whistle valve
• Made new water pump handle and stop to prevent pump falling over if handle strokes too far
• Made and fitted planked footplate
• Fitted new ashpan pin guide tubes
• Fitted new pressure gauge
• Fitted extension pipe to injector overflow
• Fitted rosebud grate
• Removed one water gauge

The boiler has had a hydraulic test and is warrantied as sound, it has club certification through to March 2025.

The chassis runs on air in both directions, the motionwork and valve gear having the usual generous tolerances.
