5 inch gauge LMS "Duchess" with commercial boiler

We sold this one back in 2009 - at that time a well-advanced chassis with stainless steel boiler which, whilst it wasn't going to go rusty, most assuredly couldn't have been tested either! Our advice at the time was replacement - there are words and pictures from that time in the archive here.

The engine has recently come back to us with a good deal of extra work completed and parts made. It's offered now as an air-running chassis with new CE-marked copper boiler complete with manufacturer's certification, part-built tender and a quantity of loose parts and fittings as shown.

Much work still to do, but a lot of work done and money spent already - from here it requires more by way of hours in the workshop than buying parts and castings.
