5 inch gauge Simplex 0-6-0T

A 5 inch gauge 0-6-0T to Martin Evans' "Simplex" design, a part-dismantled engine that's come to us missing its smokebox, chimney, dome and various pieces of pipework and small fittings.

On hydraulic test the boiler showed a couple of beads of water at the inner dome joint and one on an older Comsol repair to the backhead. All appear eminently repairable with the boiler removed and pickled.

The chassis runs well in forwards gear, indifferently in reverse.
