Gas-fired marine steam plant with reversing twin engine

A marine steam plant, comprising reversing twin cylinder vertical engine with displacement lubricator, with a horizontal cross-tube boiler.

Mounted on a steel tray base, with brass detachable side covers to prevent engine oil splashing when running.

The boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test, with new certification issued for same. The engine runs well in both directions (there's a short clip of it here), the balanced five bearing crankshaft is fitted with a steel marine flywheel.

Boiler feed pump is ineffective and requires new seals.
