Vertical boiler with hand pump

This is an interesting old boiler, from the collection of an 80 year old gentleman who built it shortly after the war. It was modelled on a boiler of which he had a photograph, annotated on the back "Dr Orvill Owen. Digging in ??? bed at Castleford, 1913".

The boiler itself is of J-tube construction, fitted with hand pump, safety valve and water gauge. Whilst it appears soundly contructed and in good order, in deference to its age it is sold un-tested as a "period piece", complete with the original photograph.
