2 inch scale Burrell Gold Medal tractor

A 2 inch scale single cylinder Burrell Gold Medal tractor, built to the M.J.Engineering design.

A well made engine, it's come to us along with a similarly nicely made Clayton steam wagon in the same scale.

The commercially built boiler, by Chambers, has had hydraulic and steam test with new certification issued.

The engine runs very well in both directions, with some runout on the flywheel which appears to have little effect on its performance. Water feeds both work reliably, the injector's easy to start and effective in operation

Paintwork is presentable rather than show-winning, in an attractive livery of green with red, lined-out wheels.
