3 1/2 inch gauge BR Standard Class 7 with commercial boiler

A well-advanced 3 1/2 inch gauge "Britannia" to the LBSC design, including a rolling chassis - close to air running with most of the motionwork and valve gear, it requires an eccentric rod - and an early stage tender with erected frames and wheels.

Workmanship is to a high standard throughout, fit and finish of machined parts is very good.

The commercially built boiler is a beautiful combustion chamber job by the estimable Reg Chambers of Weymouth, complete with water gauge fittings and superheaters - the serial number would suggest it was supplied new sometime around the early 1980s, so high time somebody got on and finished the thing!

As ever our friends at Model Engineers Laser stock a wide range of profiled parts for the design, including cab, running boards and tender superstructure, greatly facilitating a quick, high quality build.
