3 1/2 inch gauge "Britannia"

A 3 1/2 inch gauge BR Standard Class 7 "Britannia", built to LBSC's design published in "Model Engineer" magazine.

The engine has languished under the late builder's bench in recent years and, although very grubby, is rather better than its appearance suggests. The chassis is complete with axle pumps, steam brake cylinder and lubricator, it turns over very smoothly with no play in the motiowork and valve gear.

Well worth cleaning up, it would give any Britannia builder a flying start. For those short of time, as ever our friends at Model Engineers Laser offer a comprehensive set of profiled parts in brass, perspex, steel and stainless steel for the locomotive and tender, saving a great deal of work. Castings are available from both Reeves and Blackgates.
