3 1/2 inch gauge LMS "Princess"

A venerable example of a 3 1/2 inch gauge LMS "Princess", built by H.P.Jackson - the man responsible for coneiving and draughting many of the renowned H.Clarkson range of locomotives - and carrying his builder's plate on the tender.

The engine was stripped a long time ago when the original boiler failed, a new one was commissioned from Bishop-Ellis and delivered to the then owner's Holland Park address in 1983.

Some work has been done in the intervening thirty-seven years, with the boiler installed in the frames and some new cladding fitted.

Our inclination, given the provenance of the engine and rarity in model form would be to start again with cladding and fittings, finishing the rebuild to a standard matching that shown in the chassis and tender.

Complete with original boiler certificate and receipt from Bishop-Ellis, along with a set of Jackson's drawings, originally published in 1933.
