3 1/2 inch narrow gauge Penrhyn Hunslet "Charles"

A well-advanced Hunslet Penrhyn class 0-4-0ST, based on "Charles", the locomotive preserved in the Penrhyn Castle museum, sister engine to "Linda" and "Blanche" which now run on the Ffestiniog Railway.

Largely complete with air-running chassis including brake gear and axle pump; smokebox assembly including chimney, and cab with reverser and brake column. There is a box of loose parts including inner and outer domes, lubricator, regulator assembly, firebars and some boiler fittings.

The chassis is slightly out of gauge - back to backs are 19 thou over at 3.30", flanges need reprofiling.

Based on a two foot gauge prototype, it comes out as a large engine in this gauge - nearly a yard long and already over half a hundredweight without boiler and saddle tank.
