3 1/2 inch gauge "Tich" 0-4-0T

We sold this one in March to a collector, who quite sensibly put it on his mantlepiece to admire - it remains unsteamed.

An interesting take on LBSC's large-boilered "Tich" design, the work of an experienced engineer whose work has featured in these pages in the past - most recently, the 5 inch gauge Andrew Barclay "Douglas" we sold in May.

Unsteamed from new, it's been on display in the late builder's house for many years - the chassis is fairly stiff to turn over although without tight spots, it's neatly made with good fit and finish of motionwork and valve gear.

Slightly stretched in the frames - at the rear to accommodate a rather continental style cab, at the front there's a well tank installed ahead of the leading axle.
