5 inch gauge GWR 57XX 0-6-0PT

A 5 inch gauge GWR Pannier tank, a well-built engine which appears to have had little use from new - we suspect test steamed prior to painting.

The boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued - it needed nothing more than a new injector.

On test it steamed freely and ran particularly well in either direction with crisp, even exhaust beats.

The cab roof and rear section are removable, giving access for driving.

A variety of nice details on this suggesting the work of an experienced hand - as regular readers will know, we're fans of TIG-welded stainless steel water tanks and fit nothing else on the engines we build.
