5 inch gauge Kerr Stuart "Tattoo" class 0-4-2T

A 5 inch gauge Kerr Stuart "Tattoo" class 0-4-2ST, to the "Edward Thomas" design, based on the locomotive preserved on the Talyllyn Railway.

Bought by its last owner as a part-built locomotive, it was sent out for completion and painting, resulting in the engine shown in the photographs (and yes, the red really is that bright!).

The silver soldered copper boiler was tested at that time, however we have no documentation for it. Looks a well made thing with neatly flanged plates and good solder penetration, but it will need to come off the frames for a twice working pressure shell test with the cladding off before steam test.
